CALIFORNIA HEALTHY KIDS SURVEY                            RESULTS NOTIFICATION                                              2007-2008 SCHOOL YEAR

Dear Parent or Guardian:

The purpose of this letter is to share important information with you concerning the recently completed "California Healthy Kids Survey." Complete survey results are available at Analy, El Molino, and Laguna High School Main Offices.  Also, survey results can be obtained from the West Sonoma County Union High School District Office, or at the school district's website, www.wscuhsd.k12.ca.us.

Survey results can also be obtained by mail if requests are made to any of the above main offices.

Survey Content.  The survey gathers information on behaviors such as environmental and individual strengths and assets: alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, and bullying and violence.

It is Voluntary.  Students in the ninth and eleventh grades were given the survey. However, if you signed the withdrawal form, your student did not take the survey.

It is Anonymous.  No names were recorded.  There is no way of finding out individual responses.

Administration.  The survey was given last month.  It took one class period to complete (about 50 minutes) and was administered in your child's social studies class.
